The Beni Ourain Tradition
Originating from the Beni Ourain tribes in the snowy high Atlas Mountains, these rugs were traditionally used as warm bedding and blankets. They are renowned for their thick, shaggy pile made from 100% natural sheep's wool. The medium-density geometric diamond pattern seen here is a classic Berber motif, interpreted in delightful pink tones that break from tradition to offer a modern, whimsical aesthetic while maintaining the rug's soulful character and plush texture.
